CLASS RATING FOR PILATUS PC6
About the rating
Pilatus PC-6 class rating will enable you to perform activities in the field of parachuting, aerial photography and freight transport. You will be flying on the Pilatus PC-6 Turbo Porter, (owned by Aviofun). The Pilatus PC-6 is useful in many aspects of aviation and is used by many operators around the world.
Entry requirements
Valid PPL (A) or CPL (A) or ATPL (A) license
Valid medical certificate for the corresponding license
At least 100 hours of flight experiences
At least 3 hours of tail wheel experiences
ICAO English proficieny at least Level 4
Theoretical part
The theoretical part cosists of 18 hours of lectures from:
Aircraft systems and structures
Control surfaces and lift augmentation surfaces
Engine
Propeller and engine and propeller control
Aircraft fuel system
Landing gear and brakes
Electrical system
Instruments and equipment
Emergency equipment
Flight performance and planning
Airplane loading, weight and balance
Non-standard procedures and emergency procedures
Before beginning the practical training candidate must undergo an internal test of knowledge from the theory.
Practical part
Candidate must fly at least 7 hours in total, according to a flight school program approved by the Civil Aviation Agency.
Exam
Practical part with an examiner.
Rating validity
Pilatus PC6 class rating is valid for 2 years.
